Fusion Hair Extensions

Published by paulalife at 5:51 pm under general

Here is what I have been working on lately.  It is called hair fusion, and it takes a few hours, but it looks fantastic!!  Sorry there are no before pictures, but someone forgot to put the memory stick in the camera.  Anyway, my model’s natural hair is  black and is only about chin length.  We used two different shades and are both very pleased.  Since these pictures, I have relaxed her hair and only a few strands of the fusion came out.  She had a total of 320 when we started.  I will replace them at her next appointment. At the present time, it has been in for 5 weeks. It can be used to add length, hilites, or fullness.  No glue is used, it is attached with a keratin protein.  I love it!!!

It looks great! My how hairstyling has changed since the 60′s tease, hair pieces and curls! Of course, I used to iron my hair flat for high school (yes, in the 60′s). Every morning leaning over the ironing board. Or I used the “juice can” curlers! And have you seen those huge curlers are coming back. I guess it’s true, everything eventually recycles around.

    Great job, Paula.

Sorry but this is a bad job. I can see all the fusions at the root not a job worth paying for. You need to be re-trained. If there anyone in the Houston area and want to learn the correctly contact me a mzzd34@yahoo.com

The stylist did not necessarily do a bad job, it’s just the client’s hair is nappy at the roots and needed a relaxer or a hot comb to smooth those roots out to match the texture of the extensions.

it looks great, although i can see the fusions at the roots especially at the top, maybe you should have done half head and used her natural hair at the top to cover it up, that’s what i do.

As if maintaining your crowning glory isn’t hard enough already, finding a salon that suits you is so difficult that sometimes, it makes you want to tear your hair out. Finding the right salon is no walk in the park. It takes a lot of patience and perseverance and you’re going to have to spend some money too, but who cares if you finally get to wear that dream hairstyle worthy of a magazine cover, right?

Sorry it took so long to answer. I parted the hair so that the fusion would be visible for those interested in the technique. In the top picture, you will notice that I was not finished with the application.

Thank you, if you will notice, I did relax the client’s hair a few days later. I wanted to see if it was true that you could relax the hair with the fusion in place. It worked!

The top picture was during the application. I showed the roots on purpose so that others could see what they would look like. I normally do not put in so many and love to use fusion for hilites on clients with relaxed hair. I only use 20 to 40 then. It helps to give a new look without the damage of two chemicals.
