I Need A Haircut
I need a haircut!! All of my hairdressers have left the profession, gone on disability, or live 3 hours away. I can cut the front and sides myself, but I cannot cut the back very well. A hairdresser friend once said that she wished she could take off her head and sit it in her lap and cut her own hair. Wouldn’t that be a neat trick.
Anyway, I am either going to have to beg someone to come out of retirement for thirty minutes, or try to find someone who understands a long flat top, leaving the weight on the sides, and spiking the back while dealing with my natural duck tale so that no one quacks at me. I have to have my hair cut straight across on the top, or I have helmet hair. Most people cut round layers on top, but I have to have corners.
I wish that my husband had gone to beauty school. Many times over the last almost 16 years, he has mentioned it. He could cut my hair anytime. Oh well, he does a mean “Thad, the gay hairdresser” impression. Considering that he is 6”2”, has size 58 shoulders, and wears a size 14 shoe, it is really hilarious. “Snip, snip, curl!”
He is so funny. When anyone new starts at the hair salon, he calls and pretends to be Tyrone S. Washington. He asks for silly services like “I’m bald. Can I get my head waxed?”, or “I only have 3 toes on my right foot. Can I get a discount on a pedicure?” I can always tell when it’s him because they get so flustered. Then they hand the phone to me, laughing. He has a wonderful voice, but he is good at changing it. Anyway, he isn’t a hairdresser, and I still need a haircut!
aw, crap. quit whining!! I need one, too, so let’s just play hair salon. whatcha doin Sunday? love ya! hey, i got some cheeeeese for that whine, in case ya don’t stop. then, we’ll have FANTABULOUS hairdo’s! ROFL
